The wood slab (either Walnut, Maple, or WI hardwood) is embedded into clear coat epoxy and contents (if any) are embedded into the epoxy after the first coat has dried. Additional coat of clear epoxy has been applied over the top of the embedded contents providing a look as if the embedded objects are floating.
