I buy wood slabs from a local lumber mill in Wisconsin who provides quality slabs to choose from with native Wisconsin wood. The primary end table in this listing is made from a spalted wood slab finished with two coats of varnish oil. Spalted wood is either spalted maple or spalted elm. This produces a medium color. Locust produces a lighter finish. Elm produces a middle of the road color and walnut is dark when clear coated. Tables are either clear coated with UV epoxy or varnish oil. Both produce a beautiful smooth texture. The table top itself was sanded to 320 grit and hand finished. Two coats of clear coat epoxy or varnish oil applied to both sides of the table. The clear coat allows the natural wood grains to be beautifully displayed. Other pictures display the various wood types as well as the leg types.
